Crypto top-up
Adding funds to your Fansly wallet by sending a supported coin such as BTC, ETH, USDT or SOL. Crypto payments can't be reversed, and network fees can reduce what's credited.

Gift Link
The name the Fansly Dashboard gives a creator's subscription discount link, according to subscription discount API docs. It offers a subscription at a special rate or free, with a redemption cap.

Fansly accepts payment from your Fansly wallet, a saved card, a country-specific alternative method or a crypto top-up. Purchases come out of your wallet first, and your saved payment method is charged when the balance falls short or you choose it instead. Everything is billed in US dollars, and PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay aren't on Fansly's list.

Below you'll find how each method works, how to fix a declined card, how refunds work and the honest answer on bank statements. It's all drawn from Fansly's help centre, as of October 2026. Not sure you trust Fansly with your money yet? Start with our guide to whether Fansly is safe.

What payment methods does Fansly accept?

Fansly's wallet guide names two ways to pay: a preloaded wallet balance or a saved payment method. Crypto and gift codes are extra ways to fund the wallet. Here's how they compare as of October 2026:

Method How you use it Limits and notes
Wallet balance Top up on the Payments page. Purchases come out of it first Up to $500 per recharge, from preset amounts only
Card "Add Card" on the Payments page Fansly's current help centre doesn't name card networks
Alternative method "Add Alternative Method" on the Payments page Varies by country. Fansly doesn't name the options
Crypto top-up Send a supported coin to fund your wallet Limits shown at checkout. Payments can't be reversed
Fansly Gift Code Payments page, then "Claim Gift Code" Promotional and single use. Needs a verified email
PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay Not listed by Fansly Each company's own rules bar sexually explicit content

To manage methods, click your profile picture and choose "Add Payment Method", or go straight to fansly.com/settings/payments. From there you can add a card or an alternative method, set a default, or remove one.

Which cards work? Fansly's current help centre doesn't name card networks. An older Fansly support article was widely reported to list Visa, Mastercard and Discover, but today's pages don't repeat it.

Fansly also says "your payment information is never saved on Fansly" and that payments go through secure providers it doesn't name. In other words, a saved card sits with a third-party provider, not with Fansly itself.

How does Fansly decide what to charge?

Your wallet always comes first. The wallet guide says: "If you have sufficient funds, the payment will be deducted directly from your wallet balance." If you don't, or you pick a different method, "your saved payment option will be charged." Fansly doesn't describe splitting one purchase across both.

Tips work the same way. Fansly's tipping guide says tips use your wallet first, and "Tips cannot be cancelled once they're sent."

Top-ups follow two rules from the wallet guide:

  • Up to $500 per recharge. You choose from preset amounts rather than typing your own, and you can top up more than once.
  • Instant credit. Funds arrive "instantly once the payment is approved".

The guide adds: "Your only spending limit is the amount in your wallet." That makes the wallet a handy budget, with one catch. If the balance is too low, Fansly charges your saved payment method instead, so the wallet only limits spending if you keep that in mind.

Subscriptions need a valid payment method in your Payments Settings first, according to Fansly's subscription guide. They auto-renew, and after you cancel you keep access until the paid period ends. Fansly doesn't say what happens when a renewal payment fails.

Does Fansly accept PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay?

No. Fansly's help centre doesn't list PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. All three companies' own rules bar sexually explicit content, so don't expect them at checkout:

  • PayPal: its policy on sexually oriented goods and services prohibits "sexually oriented digital goods or content delivered through a digital medium". Its examples include "downloadable pictures or videos and website subscriptions".
  • Apple Pay: Apple's acceptable use guidelines for websites bar sites selling "sexually-oriented items or services", and list "Pornography" among prohibited categories.
  • Google Pay: Google's acceptable use policy says its payment APIs may not be used "for pornography and other sexually explicit material".

If a site promises a PayPal route into Fansly, be wary of it. Fansly doesn't list PayPal as a creator payout method either, and our Fansly payout schedule guide covers what Fansly does offer.

How do you pay with crypto on Fansly?

You top up your wallet with crypto, then spend that balance like any other. Fansly's crypto top-up guide sets out the steps:

  1. Choose your coin.
  2. Enter the amount in US dollars, within the limits shown.
  3. Review the exchange rate and confirm.
  4. Send the payment to the QR code or wallet address shown, before the countdown timer ends.

As of October 2026, Fansly supports BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH, USDT (ERC20, TRC20, Polygon, SPL), USDC (ERC20, Polygon, SPL), USDC-E (Polygon), Dash, XRP, TRX, POFL and SOL. Fansly doesn't name its crypto processor or publish fixed limits, so go by the limits shown at checkout.

Crypto payments can't be reversed

Fansly says it plainly: "Crypto payments can't be reversed." Its deposit amount page adds two rules worth knowing before you send anything:

  • Send the exact amount. Fansly credits "the amount we receive, not the amount sent", and network or processing fees can reduce it.
  • Beat the timer. If it expires, "the rate may change and a new deposit will be required."

USDT and USDC each run on several networks, so double-check you're sending on the one you selected.

What if your crypto deposit doesn't arrive?

Fansly's failed deposit page lists common causes: you sent a different amount, paid after the window closed, the transaction is still confirming on-chain, or your exchange delayed the withdrawal. If it still hasn't landed, contact Fansly support with your transaction ID (TXID), the coin and the amount.

Does Fansly have gift cards?

Not in the retail sense. "Gift" means three different things around Fansly:

Name What it is Who issues it
Fansly Gift Code A single-use promotional code that adds a reward to your Spending Wallet Fansly
Marketplace "Fansly gift card" A voucher sold by a third-party reseller Not Fansly. Its help centre doesn't mention them
Gift Link A creator's subscription discount link, at a special rate or free The creator

Fansly Gift Codes

Fansly's gift codes page says the codes debuted on cards handed out at AVN, January 21 to 24, 2026, each with "a small reward". Fansly doesn't describe them as something you can buy. Here's how to redeem one:

  1. Open the Payments page.
  2. Click "Claim Gift Code".
  3. Enter the code and confirm.

Each code works once, and you need a verified email to claim it. The reward goes to your Spending Wallet and "can be used anywhere on Fansly". Fansly doesn't state reward amounts or expiry dates.

The error messages are "already been claimed", "Invalid code" and "Too many attempts". For the last one, wait about 5 minutes. The page also notes that buying explicit content may still mean passing KYC (identity) checks.

Creator Gift Links

The subscription discount API docs note that the Fansly Dashboard shows subscription discounts as "Gift Links". Fansly's discount guide says a discount link can offer a subscription at a special rate "or even free!", with a redemption cap and set dates.

What currency does Fansly charge in?

US dollars, for every transaction. Fansly's currency page says: "If your card or bank account uses a different currency, your provider will automatically handle the conversion." It adds that "Banks may apply their own exchange rates and fees."

A few other costs are worth checking before you top up:

  • Card top-up fees: Fansly's help centre doesn't publish one.
  • Crypto fees: network and processing fees can reduce what's credited.
  • VAT or sales tax: Fansly's help centre doesn't say whether it's added at checkout.
  • Inactive balances: after 12 consecutive months inactive, Fansly charges $5 a month until the balance reaches $0 or you log in.

Why is your card declined on Fansly?

Fansly doesn't publish decline codes, so start with the basics. Its basic troubleshooting page suggests you:

  • Check there's enough money on the card.
  • Re-check the card number, expiry date and CVV.
  • Contact your bank, which "may have blocked the transaction for security reasons".
  • Reach Fansly support through chat on fansly.com or by email.

Messages like "card verification failed" aren't explained anywhere in Fansly's help centre. Be sceptical of sites that claim to know what each code means.

If your card keeps failing, try another route. Check "Add Alternative Method" for options in your country, or top up with crypto. Separately, fans in some regions must verify their age, which our Fansly verification guide covers.

Can you get a refund on Fansly?

Usually not. Fansly's refund page treats most purchases as final, with a few exceptions:

Purchase Fansly's rule
Wallet top-up Final and non-refundable. If part has been used, only the remaining balance may go back to your card
Tip Non-refundable and can't be cancelled. Creators may refund at their discretion
Subscription Generally non-refundable if you could access the content. A refund "may be considered" if the creator fails to deliver and blocks you
Tips tied to off-platform deals, payments outside Fansly Non-refundable

Paid for custom content with a tip? The tipping guide gives creators 14 days to deliver it.

To request a refund, contact support by chat or email with the date, amount, order numbers and screenshots. Your history lives at fansly.com/settings/payments. Fansly doesn't publish a refund timeframe, and it can deny refunds if you refuse age verification.

How to dispute a Fansly charge

Email Fansly support. Its dispute page asks for the Transaction ID, date, amount, a description and any evidence. Fansly investigates and sends updates by email.

Go to Fansly support before your bank. Fansly's help centre doesn't say what a bank chargeback means for a fan account, so you'd be guessing at the consequences.

How does Fansly appear on your bank statement?

Fansly doesn't publish what fan charges look like on a statement. Check with your bank or Fansly support.

Fansly's getting-started guide names "SELECT MEDIA LLC" only for creator payouts, noting it may vary by region and payout method. It says nothing about fan charges, so don't assume they match.

To identify a charge, compare its date and amount with your history at fansly.com/settings/payments. If discretion matters to you, ask support before you pay, not after.

How can creators make paying easier for fans?

You can't change how Fansly takes payment, but you can stop small payment problems from costing you sales. In agencies I've worked with, a short, accurate "how do I pay?" answer saved a lot of back-and-forth. These levers come from Fansly's own pages:

  • Give fans accurate answers. Point them to wallet top-ups, crypto and Fansly's troubleshooting steps. Don't promise PayPal or Apple Pay.
  • Offer discounts and trials. Fansly allows multi-month discounts of "up to 50% off", dated promotions and discount links. Free trials are allowed too.
  • Measure each promo. Tracking links report claims, follows, subscriptions and revenue. Our guide to free trial links shows how to judge the results.

Refunds and chargebacks for creators

Fansly's creator security FAQ says creators are "shielded from chargebacks in most cases". Fansly can still deduct chargebacks when rates are unusually high or the creator is at fault. Approved refunds come out of your earnings, and blocking a fan doesn't refund them.

You can also refund a fan yourself for media, tips or subscriptions. Fansly's creator refund page says to contact support with the fan's profile link and the Transaction ID. The amount is "deducted directly from your wallet balance or pending funds". For what you keep from each sale in the first place, see our Fansly fees guide.

How do agencies track payments across creators?

Payment methods belong to fans, and our API can't see or change them. What you can do is monitor which sales land on each creator account. Our Fansly API does that for the accounts you connect:

  • List Wallet Transactions returns wallet history with transactionId, type, destination, amount, destinationTax, newBalance, createdAt and status. The docs don't map type codes, and nothing shows how the fan paid.
  • Create Subscription Discount, List Subscription Discounts and the Update, Disable and Enable Subscription Discount endpoints manage the links Fansly calls "Gift Links". Each link allows 100 claims by default, and you can exclude fans who've already claimed a discount for that plan.
  • Create Tracking Link and Get Tracking Link Revenue Stats tie revenue to each promo.

For real-time alerts, the Fansly webhooks include fansly.transactions.new. Its amount is the gross sale, destinationTax is described as "the platform cut", and destinationAmount is what the creator receives. Webhook amounts are in thousandths of a dollar.

Know the limits. The API can't issue refunds or create gift codes, and there's no chargeback event. Refunds still go through Fansly support, so keep a person on your team in charge of any fan who's struggling to pay.

FAQ

No. PayPal isn't among the payment options in Fansly's help centre. PayPal's own policy bars sexually oriented digital content, including website subscriptions. Use your wallet, a card, an alternative method offered in your country, or a crypto top-up.

Can I use Apple Pay or Google Pay on Fansly?

Not as of October 2026. Neither appears in Fansly's help centre. Apple's rules for Apple Pay on websites and Google's payment API policy both bar sexually explicit content. Add a card on the Payments page or top up with crypto.

How do I redeem a Fansly gift code?

Go to the Payments page, click Claim Gift Code, then enter and confirm the code. Your account needs a verified email. Each code works once, and the reward lands in your Spending Wallet for use anywhere on Fansly.

Can I get a refund on unused Fansly wallet funds?

Wallet top-ups are final and non-refundable. If you've already spent part of a top-up, Fansly says only the remaining balance may be refunded to your card, subject to processing times. Ask Fansly support by chat or email.

What currency does Fansly charge in?

Everything is billed in USD. Your card or bank converts other currencies and may add its own rate and fees.
